On certain pentagonal numbers
In this article, authors made new contributions on C. L. Siegel's celebrated theorem and find integral solutions for a particular elliptic curve arising from pentagonal numbers. Also prove that there exist only three pentagonal numbers (\(210, 10626, 17550 \)) that can be written the product of three consecutive integer, and further showed that there does not exist any pentagonal number that is a perfect cube. In order to prove the required results authors used properties of the arithmetic of elliptic curves and fundamental units of certain real quadratic field.
