On certain quaternary quadratic forms
From MaRDI portal
The authors give new proofs for explicit formulas for the number of representations of a positive integer by 5 quaternary quadratic forms namely $x^2+y^2+10z^2+10w^2$, abbreviated as $(1,1,10,10)$, and 4 others, namely $(2,2,5,5)$, $(3,3,5,5)$, $(1,1,15,15)$, $(1,3,5,15)$. The new proofs are elementary and avoid the theory of modular forms.
