On compactly Lipschitzian mappings
Compactly Lipschitzian mappings between real normed vector spaces were introduced by the author in 1978 [cf. C. R. Acad. Sci., Paris, Sér. A 286, 995-998 (1978; Zbl 0374.46035)]. This paper reviews again this class of functions, and provides a short proof for the formula \[ \partial(f\circ F)(x)\subset \bigcup\{\partial(y\circ F)(x): y\in\partial f(F(x))\} \] that serves to estimate the Ioffe approximate subdifferential of the composition \(f\circ F\) of a Lipschitzian function \(f:Y\to\mathbb{R}\) and a compactly Lipschitzian mapping \(F:X\to Y\). For the entire collection see [Zbl 0868.00068].
