Diese Ausdehnung des altberühmten Problems der magischen Quaduate auf Rechtecke ist neu und verdienstlich. Sind die Masszahlen der Rechtecke nicht teilerfremd, so lässt sich stets eine Lösung erbringen, sobald man dasjenige magische Quadrat kennt, dessen Seitenmasszahl den gemeinscheftlichen Factor für jene früheren ``Argumente abgiebt. Sind jene Argumente aber relative Primzahlen, so muss, wie hier gezeigt wird, die Methode dem speciellen Falle angepasst werden.
