On one-parameter unitary groups in Hilbert space.
Verf. veröffentlicht hier einen von ihm schon 1930 gefundenen, mit den Methoden seines Buches ``Linear transformations in Hilbert space and their applications to analysis, 1932 (JFM 58.0420.*) geführten Beweis für das in der vorstehend besprochenen Note von \textit{v. Neumann} gefundene Resultat. Ferner beweist er: Wenn \(H\) eine selbstadjungierte Transformation und \(U(\tau ) \equiv e^{i\tau H}\) ist, so ist die Beziehung \[ \frac {U(\tau ) -U(0)}{\tau } f \to f^* \] im \textit{Hilbert}schen Raum dann und nur dann richtig, wenn \(f\) zum Bereich von \(H\) gehört und \(f^*=iHf\) ist. Eine beschränkte lineare Transformation \(T\) ist dann und nur dann mit der selbstadjungierten Transformation \(H\) permutabel, wenn sie mit jeder Transformation der Schar \[ e^{i\tau H}, \; -\infty <\tau <+\infty, \] vertauschbar ist.
