On rings of integer-valued rational functions

From MaRDI portal

Let \(D\subseteq B\) be an extension of integral domains and \(E\) a subset of the quotient field of \(D\). In the paper under review, the authors introduced and studied the ring of \(D\)-valued \(B\)-rational functions on \(E\), denoted by Int\(^{R}_{B}(E, D):=\{f\in B(X); f (E)\subseteq D\}\). They investigated various properties of these rings such as prime ideals, localization, and the module structure. Furthermore, they studied the transfer of some ring-theoretic properties from Int\(^{R}_{B}(E, D)\) to \(D\). In Section 1, they investigated some properties of the ring Int\(^{R}_{B}(E, D)\). Section 2 is devoted to the localization and some ideals of Int\(^{R}(E,D)=\{f\in K[X]| f(E)\subseteq D\}\). In Section 3, they studied the transfer of certain ring-theoretic properties such as seminormal, (t-)finite character, (strong) Mori, PvMD and essential from Int\(^{R}(E,D)\) to \(D\). Finally, in Section 4, they gave some results concerning the flatness and the (\(w\)-)faithful flatness properties on the module structure of Int\(^{R}_{B}(E,D)\).
