On rough oscillatory singular integral operators
The paper investigates mapping properties of rough oscillatory singular integral operators on \(\mathbb R^n\), \(n\ge2\), of the following general form \N\[\N T^\beta_{\Phi,\Omega,h}f(x)=p.v.\int_{\mathbb R^n}e^{\mathrm{i}\Phi(x,y)} |x-y|^{-n}h(|x-y|)\Omega(x-y)(1+|y|)^{-\beta}f(y)\,dy. \N\]\NHere: (a) \(\beta\in[0,1)\) is a parameter; (b) \(\Phi\colon \mathbb R^n\times \mathbb R^n\to\mathbb R\) is the phase function, a mapping that generalizes polynomial mappings and satisfies some qualitative conditions; (c) \(\Omega\) is homogeneous of degree 0 on \(\mathbb R^n\), \(\int_{S^{n-1}}\Omega(x^\prime)\,d\sigma(x^\prime)=0\) and \(\Omega\in L\, \log^+L(S^{n-1})\); (d) \(h\colon (0,\infty)\to\mathbb R\) satisfies \N\[\N\|h\|_{\Delta_\gamma}:=\Big(\sup_{R>0}\frac1R \int_0^R |h(t)|^\gamma\,dt\Big)^{1/\gamma}<\infty\N\]\Nfor some \(\gamma>1\).\N\NThe main results of the paper are obtained in four theorems (A) -- (D). Under suitable assumptions on \(\beta\), \(\Phi\) and \(h\), inequalities of the form \N\[\N\|T^\beta_{\Phi,\Omega,h}f\|_p\le C\|h\|_{\Delta_\gamma}\|\Omega\|_{L\, \log^+L}\|f\|_p \N\]\Nare proved for \(1<p<\infty\), with \(\gamma\) depending on \(p\) and \(\Phi\), and \(C\) not depending on \(\Omega\) and \(h\). In two cases \(T^\beta_{\Phi,\Omega,h}\) is replaced by its local version, where integration over \(\mathbb R^n\) is replaced by integration over \(|x-y|<1\). Proofs of these results are based on an alternative to Van der Corput's lemma established for a rough function \(h\) in Lemma 2.1.
