On singular integral operators along surfaces
For \(n, m \geq 2\), let \(\Omega(u, v)\) be an integrable function on \(\mathbb{S}^{n-1} \times \mathbb{S}^{m-1}\) that satisfies \[ \Omega(t x, s y)=\Omega(x, y) \quad \text { for any } t, s>0 \] and \[ \int_{\mathbb{S}^{n-1}} \Omega(u, \cdot) d \sigma_n(u)=\int_{\mathbb{S}^{m-1}} \Omega(\cdot, v) d \sigma_m(v)=0. \] Moreover, assume that \(\Omega\in F(a,\mathbb{S}^{n-1},\mathbb{S}^{m-1})\). Here for \(a>0\), \(F(a,\mathbb{S}^{n-1},\mathbb{S}^{m-1})\) is the set of all \(\Omega\in L^1(\mathbb{S}^{n-1}\times \mathbb{S}^{m-1})\) such that\N\begin{align*}\N&\sup _{\left(\xi^{\prime}, \eta^{\prime}\right) \in \mathbb{S}^{n-1} \times \mathbb{S}^{m-1}} \int_{\mathbb{S}^{n-1} \times \mathbb{S}^{m-1}}\left|\Omega\left(u^{\prime}, v^{\prime}\right)\right|\left\{G_{\xi^{\prime}, \eta^{\prime}}\left(u^{\prime}, v^{\prime}\right)\right\}^{1+\alpha} d \sigma\left(u^{\prime}\right) d \sigma\left(v^{\prime}\right)<\infty,\N\end{align*}\Nwhere\N\begin{align*}\N&G_{\xi^{\prime}, \eta^{\prime}}\left(u^{\prime}, v^{\prime}\right)=\log ^{+}\left(\left|\xi^{\prime} \cdot u^{\prime}\right|^{-1}\right)+\log ^{+}\left(\left|\eta^{\prime} \cdot v^{\prime}\right|^{-1}\right)+\log ^{+}\left(\left|\xi^{\prime} \cdot u^{\prime}\right|^{-1}\right) \log ^{+}\left(\left|\eta^{\prime} \cdot v^{\prime}\right|^{-1}\right).\N\end{align*}\NIn the paper under review, the authors investigate the boundedness of the singular integral operator \(S_{\Omega, \Phi, 1}\) on product spaces along special surfaces, which is defined by \[S_{\Omega, \Phi, 1}(f)(x, y)=\text { p.v. } \int_{\mathbb{R}^n \times \mathbb{R}^m} f((x, y)-\Phi(u, v)) K_{\Omega, 1}(u, v)\ d u d v.\] Here \[K_{\Omega, 1}(u,v)=\frac{\Omega(u,v)}{|u|^n|v|^m},\] and the non-standard mappings \(\Phi\) is defined by \[\Phi(u, v)=\left(\phi_1(|v|) u, \phi_2(|u|) v\right),\] with the functions \(\phi_1, \phi_2\in \mathcal{F}\), where \(\mathcal{F}\) is the class of smooth functions \(\psi:(0, \infty) \rightarrow \mathbb{R}\) such that \(\psi(0)=0\) and \[ \sup _{0<t<\infty} t^{-d_{\Phi}}|\psi(t)| \leq C_1 \quad \text { and } \quad \inf _{0<t<\infty} t^{2-d_{\Phi}}\left|\psi^{\prime \prime}(t)\right| \geq C_2 \] for some \(d_{\Phi} \neq 0\) and positive constants \(C_1\) and \(C_2\). The authors show that for \(\frac{a+2}{a+1}<p<a+2\), the operator \(S_{\Omega, \Phi, 1}\) is bounded on \(L^p(\mathbb R^n\times \mathbb R^m)\). The \(L^p\)-boundedness of the corresponding truncated maximal singular integral operator is also considered.
