On some algorithms in Banach spaces finding fixed points of nonlinear mappings

A modification of the hybrid method in mathematical programming is used to give new algorithms to find fixed points of mappings in Banach spaces which are in some sense non-expansive. The results obtained apply in reflexive, strictly convex and smooth Banach spaces having the Kadeč--Klee property.
