On subinjectivity domains of finitely generated modules
The authors generalise the notion of injectivity of a module. A module \(M\) is \(FG\)-injective if every homomorphism from \(M\) to a finitely generated module factors through an injective module. \(M\) is \(N\)-subinjective if for every monomorphism \(h:N\to K\) and every homomorphism \(f : N \to M\), there exists a homomorphism \(g : K \to M\) such that \(gh = f \). The subinjectivity domain of \(M\) is the set of modules \(N\) such that M is \(N\)-subinjective, If the subinjectivity domain of \(M\) consists of exactly the \(FG\)-injective modules, then \(M\) is \(fg\)\-indigent.\N\NTypical results are that \(R\) is a right self-injective ring if and only if every projective module is \(FG\)-injective; if \(R\) is a right Noetherian ring, then the product of a complete set of representatives of finitely presented \(R\)-modules is \(fg\)-indigent.
