On the class of finite groups factorizable by subnormal supersoluble subgroups
In 1953, \textit{B. Huppert} [Nagoya Math. J. 6, 93--94 (1953; Zbl 0053.01201)] gave an example showing that, in general, the product of two normal supersolvable subgroups of a finite group need not be supersolvable.\N\NIn 1957, \textit{R. Baer} [Ill. J. Math. 1, 115--187 (1957; Zbl 0077.03003)] proved that if \(G\) is a finite group which is the product of a few normal supersolvable subgroups of \(G\) and the commutator subgroup of \(G\) is nilpotent, then \(G\) is supersolvable.\N\NIn 1971, \textit{D. K. Friesen} [Proc. Am. Math. Soc. 30, 46--48 (1971; Zbl 0232.20037)] established another result in this direction. He demonstrated that if \(A\) and \(B\) are normal supersolvable subgroups of a finite group \(G=AB\) and the indices \(|G:A|\) and \(|G:B|\) are coprime, then \(G\) is supersolvable.\N\NIn 1997, \textit{A. F. Vasil'ev} and \textit{T. I. Vasil'eva} [Russ. Math. 41, No. 11, 8--12 (1997; Zbl 0934.20016); translation from Izv. Vyssh. Uchebn. Zaved., Mat. 1997, No. 11, 10--14 (1997)] proved that if a finite group \(G\) is a product of two normal supersolvable subgroups and \(G\) has a normal nilpotent subgroup \(W\) such that \(G/W\) is a group with all Sylow subgroups abelian, then \(G\) is supersolvable.\N\NIn 2017, \textit{V. S. Monakhov} and \textit{I. K. Chirik} [Sib. Math. J. 58, No. 2, 271--280 (2017; Zbl 1421.20001); translation from Sib. Mat. Zh. 58, No. 2, 353--364 (2017)] noticed that in the statements of Baer, Friesen, and Vasil'evs the normal factors can be replaced by subnormal ones. Furthermore, they proved that if \(A\) and \(B\) are subnormal supersolvable subgroups of a finite group \(G=AB\) and \(G'_p\leq F(G)\) for every prime \(p\in\pi(|G:F(G)A|\cap\pi(|G:F(G)B|)\), then \(G\) is supersolvable. Here, \(G'_p\) is the commutator subgroup of the Sylow \(p\)-subgroup \(G_p\) of \(G\), \(F(G)\) is the Fitting subgroup of \(G\) (the unique largest normal nilpotent subgroup of \(G\)), \(\pi(n)\) is the set of prime divisors of integer \(n\).\N\NIn the paper under review, the authors clarified the last statement as follows. Let \(A\) and \(B\) be subnormal supersolvable subgroups of a finite group \(G=AB\), and let \(H\) be the smallest normal subgroup in \(G\) for which Sylow \(p\)-subgroups in \(G/H\) are abelian for each prime \(p\in\pi(|G:F(G)A|\cap\pi(|G:F(G)B|)\). If \(H\) is nilpotent, then \(G\) is supersolvable. In addition, the paper discusses some other properties of finite groups that can be represented as a product of two subnormal supersolvable subgroups.

- Finite groups that are products of two normal supersoluble subgroups
- Finite factorizable groups with \(\mathbb{P}\)-subnormal v-supersolvable and sh-supersolvable factors
