On the precision of a model in system identitification

From MaRDI portal

System modeling and identification play a critical role in the design of robust control systems. Here, the quality and exactness of a model are discussed. Two error components of a model are characterized: the random error and the systematic error; ways of estimating the magnitude of both of these types of errors are discussed.
