Optimal organization of a class of parallel processes

From MaRDI portal

For three basic modes of interaction of competing processes utilizing a block-structured program resource, formulas are derived for determining the total time of their execution. A criterion of structuring optimality is proved, and admissible schedules of execution of the processes, operation of the processors, and manipulation of the blocks are formulated.
