The authors give a very nice survey clearly exhibiting the beautiful connections between special \(J\)-fractions and orthogonal rational functions, multi-point Padé approximants and rational moment problems. NEWLINENEWLINENEWLINEThe results (generalizing the classical case) have been found over the years; the list of references contains 42 items. NEWLINENEWLINENEWLINEFor the uninitiated the following book (by the same four authors) is an excellent entry point for the subject: ``Orthogonal rational functions, Vol. 5 of Cambridge Monographs on Applied and Computational Mathematics, Cambridge University Press (1999; Zbl 0923.42017).NEWLINENEWLINEFor the entire collection see [Zbl 0969.00053].
