Paley problem for plurisubharmonic functions of finite lower order

From MaRDI portal

The author considers the analog of the conjecture of Paley (1932) for plurisubharmonic functions of finite lower order. (The Paley problem for entire functions was conclusively solved by Govorov in 1967.) Let \[ P_n(\lambda)=P_1(\lambda)\prod_{k=1}^{n-1}\left(1+\frac\lambda{2k}\right),\quad n>1 , \] where \[ P_1(\lambda)= \begin{cases} \frac{\pi\lambda}{\sin(\pi\lambda)} & \text{ for } 0\leq\lambda\leq\frac 12,\\ \pi\lambda & \text{ for } \lambda>\frac 12. \end{cases} . \] Let \(u\) be a plurisubharmonic function on \(\mathbb {C}^n\) of finite lower order \(\lambda\), and let \(M(r,u)\), \(T(r,u)\) be the Nevanlinna characteristics of \(u\). Then \[ \lim_{r \rightarrow +\infty}\inf\frac{M(r,u)}{T(r,u)}\leq P_n(\lambda) \tag{1} \] for \(\lambda\leq 1\) and this estimate is best possible. The author also obtains an estimate of type (1) for \(\lambda>1\), \[ \lim_{r \rightarrow +\infty}\inf\frac{M(r,u)}{T(r,u)}\leq e^{n-1}P_n(\lambda).\tag{2} \] The method of proof of (1) for \(\lambda\leq 1\) cannot by carried over directly to the case \(\lambda>1\).
