Parameter estimation in the generalized logistic distribution
From MaRDI portal
A three parameter (location, scale, shape) generalization of the logistic distribution is fitted to data. Method of moments parameter estimates are derived and it is shown that maximum likelihood estimates do not exist. A Bayesian analysis combined with the EM algorithm allows the distribution to be easily fitted to data.
