Partial exponential approximation

Consider the closed interval \(I_ n=\langle-n,n\rangle\), \(n\in N\), \(J:=\langle \gamma\eta\rangle\) with fined \(\gamma,\eta\in R\), and the Cartesian product \(\Omega=R\times J\). Denote by \(L^ p_ \sigma\) the set of (complex-valued) functions \(F(\cdot,\cdot)\) \(L^ p\)-integrable over \(\Omega\), with diagrams \(F(\cdot,v)\in B_ 6\) (denote \(B_ 6\) the Bernstein class of all entire functions \(\Phi(\cdot)\) of exponential type \(\sigma\), bounded on \(R\)) for a.e. \(v\in J\), and \(\overline{BV}^*_ p\) \((1\leq p\leq\infty)\) the intersection \(cn\cap BV^*_ p\). Let \(\Lambda^ p_ \sigma\) be the set of functions \(F(\cdot,\cdot)\in\overline{BV}^*_ p\) such that \(F(\cdot,v)\in B_ \sigma\) for a.e. \(v\in J\). Denoting the class \(AC_{loc}\) consisting of all (complex-valued) functions \(\varphi(\cdot)\) absolutely continuous on each finite interval \(I_ n\) (\(n=1,2,\dots\)). The author proves the following theorems: Theorem 1: Let \(f(\cdot,\cdot)\) be a real-valued function of class \(L^ p\) \((1\leq p>\infty)\), defined on the product \(R\times E\), where \(E\) is a (line) set equivalent to \(J\) \((E\subset J)\). Suppose further, that \(f(\cdot,v)\) is bounded on \(R\) for every fined \(v\in E\), and that all diagrams \(f(u,\cdot)\), \(u\in R\), are continuous on a certain (line) set \(\Gamma\) equivalent to \(E\). Then, to any number \(\sigma>0\) these exists a function \(G_ \sigma(\cdot,\cdot)\in L^ p_ \sigma\) with measurable diagrams \(G_ \sigma(x,\cdot)\) such that (1.1) \(G_ \sigma(x,v)\geq f(x,v)\) for all \((x,v)\in R\times E\), (1.2) \(\| G_ \sigma-f\|_ p\leq C_ 7\tau^ o(\sigma^{-1};f)_ p\). If, in addition, \(f(\cdot,\cdot)\in BV^*_ p\), then (1.3) \(\| G_ \sigma- f\|_ p\leq C_ 8\sigma^{-1/p}\| f\|^*_ p\). Moreover, in the special case \(f(\cdot,\cdot)\in\overline{BV}^*_ p\), \(G_ \sigma(\cdot,\cdot)\in\Lambda^ p_ \sigma\) and (1.4) \(\| G_ \sigma-f\|^*_ p\leq C_ g\| f\|^*_ p\). Theorem 2: Let \(f(\cdot,\cdot)\) be a real-valued function of class \(L^ p\cap\overline{BV}^*_ p\), \(1\leq p<\infty\), having the partial derivative \(f^{\gamma,0}(u,v)\), \(\gamma\in N\), at every point \((u,v)\in R\times E_ \gamma\), where \(E_ \gamma\) is a (line) set equivalent to \(J\) \((E_ \gamma\subset J)\). Suppose that \(f^{\gamma,0}(\cdot,v)\) is continuous and bounded on \(R\) for every \(v\in E_ \gamma\), all diagrams \(f^ \gamma,0(u,\cdot)\), \(u\in R\), are continuous on a (line) set \(\Gamma_ \gamma\) equivalent to \(E_ \gamma\) and \(f^{\gamma,0}(\cdot,\cdot)\in L^ p\cap BV^*_ p\). Then \(f^{m,0}(\cdot,v)\in AC_{loc}\) for every \(v\in E_ \gamma\) and \(f^{m,0}(\cdot,\cdot)\in L^ p\cap\overline{BV}^*_ p\), if \(m=0,1,\dots,\gamma-1\). Moreover, to any positive number \(\sigma\), there is a function \(T_ \sigma(\cdot,\cdot)\in L^ P_ \sigma\cap\Lambda^ p_ \sigma\) such that \[ T_ \sigma(x,y)\geq f(x,v)\hbox{ for all }(x,v)\in R\times E_ \gamma,\tag{2.1} \] \[ \| T_ \sigma^{v,0}- f^{v,0}\|_ p\leq{C_{10}(\gamma,v)\over\sigma^{\gamma- v+1/p}}\| f^{\gamma,0}\|^*_ p,\tag{2.2} \] \[ \| T_ \sigma^{v,0}-f^{v,0}\|^*_ p\leq{C_{11}(\gamma,v)\over\sigma^{\gamma-v}}\| f^{\gamma,0}\|^*_ p,\tag{2.3} \] for each non-negative integer \(v\subseteq\gamma\). The author proves theorems 1 and 2 for (real-valued) functions of classes \(L^ p\) and \(\overline{BV}^*_ p\), the two- dimensional analogues of Theorems 2 and 3 of \textit{P. Pych-Taberska} and \textit{R. Taberski} [ Exponential approximation in the norms and semi-norms in analysis and related mathematical fields, Pleska (in print)].
