Partial sums of biased random multiplicative functions
From MaRDI portal
Abstract: Let be the set of the primes. We consider a class of random multiplicative functions supported on the squarefree integers, such that form a sequence of valued independent random variables with , . The function is called strongly biased (towards classical M"obius function), if a.s., and it is weakly biased if converges a.s. Let . We establish a number of necessary and sufficient conditions for for some , a.s., when is strongly or weakly biased, and prove that the Riemann Hypothesis holds if and only if for all a.s., for each , where is a certain family of weakly biased random multiplicative functions.
