Path integrals and stability
The paper is dedicated to the wide problems of the theory of stability. The class of symmetric matrices \(\Phi\in R^{q\times q}\) is considered, and \[ \Phi(\eta\zeta)= \sum_{k,l} \Phi_{k,l}\zeta^k \eta^l, \] \[ Q_\Phi(w)= \sum_{k,l} \Biggl({d^k\over dt^k} w\Biggr)^T \Phi_{k,l}\Biggl({d^l\over dt^l} w\Biggr) \] are defined. General results which cover matrix Lyapunov and Riccati equations are obtained. Matrix differential equations of the second-order are considered. A comparative analysis of stability of the linear scalar equations with different methods is performed and theorems of Kharitonov type about robust stability are considered.
