Perfect quadrilateral right prisms
From MaRDI portal
Abstract: We consider right prisms with horizontal quadrilateral bases and tops, and vertical rectangular sides. We look for examples where all the edges, face diagonals and space diagonals are integers. We find examples when the base is an isosceles trapezium and a parallelogram, but no solution for a kite or rhombus.
This paper concerns right prisms with horizontal quadrilateral bases and tops and with vertical rectangular sides. The author asks for examples, where all the edges, face diagonals and space diagonals are integers. As the main result, it is shown that the desired examples exist, when the base is an isosceles trapezium or a parallelogram. On the other hand, it is conjectured that such examples don't exist, if the base is a kite, rhombus or cyclic quadrilateral.
