Principal bundle structures among second order frame bundles
From MaRDI portal
Abstract: Using a model for the bundle of semi-holonomic second order frames of a manifold as an extension of the bundle of holonomic second order frames of , we introduce in a principal bundle structure over , the structure group being the additive group of skew-symmetric bilinear maps from into . The composition of the projection of that structure with the existing projection of the bundle of non-holonomic second order frames of over provides a principal bundle structure in over . These results close an existing gap in the theory of second order frame bundles.
