Problems of information on the set of words
From MaRDI portal
The authors consider a number of problems related to the estimation of information contained in the fragments of a certain word with respect to the possibility of its complete or partial reconstruction. The problems of existence and restoration of an object from a certain class by certain information about the set of its `parts' and their `interrelations' can as well be considered as problems of pattern recognition and information theory. Combinatorial results that serve as a basis for the studies carried out in this paper are also presented.
