Isoperimetric inequalities for polarization and virtual mass

From MaRDI portal

The authors first derive a representation for the polarization and the virtual mass coefficients by means of boundary integrals. These formulas are then exploited to derive various isoperimetric inequalities between the polarization and virtual mass and certain geometrical quantities. The same method is then applied to potential flows.
