The author investigates the contribution to the Selberg trace formula for \(SL(3,{\mathbb{Z}})\setminus SL(3,{\mathbb{R}})/SO(3,{\mathbb{R}})\) of orbital integrals coming from regular elements of a maximal parabolic subgroup of SL(3,\({\mathbb{Z}})\). For other terms of this variant of the trace formula see the papers of the author [J. Number Theory 24, 127-133 (1986; Zbl 0596.10028) and the reviewer [J. Sov.
