Cortical memory dynamics

The paper implements ideas from the theory of dynamical systems in an effort to bridge the gap between biologically realistic and abstract computational models of cortical memory. A number of features of biological memories are incorporated into a mathematical and computational model. Hebbian learning dynamics and recall dynamics are derived and their stability and convergence are studied both analytically and computationally. The concept of a feasible memory is introduced and the infomax principle is applied to such memories to characterize recall dynamics.
