On an iterative algorithm for solving nonlinear operator equations
From MaRDI portal

The author considers a secant method for solving nonlinear operator equations in Banach spaces by use of divided difference operators, for which the author does not give any general method to obtain them. Assuming that the Fréchet derivative of the nonlinear operator is Hölder continuous the author proves that the sequence generated by the secant iteration method is convergent. Finally, two examples are given to illustrate the application and the efficiency of the secant method.
