It is shown that the variety of \(R\)-generated von Neumann semigroups is equivalent to the category of orthoposets with dense morphisms and that \(R\)-generated von Neumann semilattices correspond to ortholattices. The definitions of a von Neumann semigroup and a von Neumann semilattice are too technical to be stated here.
