The \(K\)-property of ``orthogonal'' cylindric billiards
The author considers a class of `cylindric billiards' (billiards on a \(d\)-dimensional torus with cylindrical scatterers), where the scatterers have certain orthogonality properties. He uses analysis of submanifolds and dynamical methods to prove that the system has the \(K\)-property if and only if a natural non-degeneracy condition is satisfied.
