A numerical method for solving equations of multicomponent turbulent viscous shock layer nearby catalytic surface
Using global iterations of the longitudinal pressure gradient and of the shock wave shape, the authors develop a numerical algorithm to solve the full equations of turbulent viscous shock layer, taking into account chemical reactions and ionization. At each iterative step the problem is solved by an implicit high-accurate finite difference scheme combined with a Newton-type linearization. An essential feature of the proposed method is the possibility to calculate in a uniform manner the sub- and supersonic regions of the flow, which allows to save the computational time.
