Index integral transformations of Titchmarsh type
The index transformation \[ q(\tau)= \int_0^\infty \Biggl[ \frac{\sin(\pi\mu/2)} {\cosh(\pi\tau/2)} \text{ Re } J_{i\tau}(y)- \frac{\cos(\pi\mu/2)} {\sinh(\pi\tau/2)} \text{ Im } J_{i\tau}(y) \Biggr] f(y) dy, \] is considered for \(\mu\leq 1\). In a suitable weighted \(L_p\) space an integral inversion formula is obtained for \(\mu<1\), the kernel of which involves a Lommel function. The special case \(\mu=1\) is treated separately and the case \(\mu=0\) is treated in further detail. A representation theorem for functions of the form \[ \varphi(z)= \surd(2\pi) \int_{1/A}^A \theta(tz)dt \] is also included.
