Gravitational instability and the formation of the supercluster-void network in the universe.
From MaRDI portal
Publication:1419280
A basic overview of the properties of the large scale structure of the universe in the context of modern cosmology theory is given. The known statistical properties of the cosmic web are confronted with simple analytical models. They outline how the nonlinear physics of gravitational clustering produces clusters, filaments and voids.
