Abstract: Let and be an integer. A set is called an -Diophantine set if is a perfect -power for any where . If is a bivariate polynomial for which there exist infinite -Diophantine sets, then there is a complete qualitative characterization of all such polynomials . Otherwise, various finiteness results are known. We prove that given a finite set of distinct integers of size , there are infinitely many bivariate polynomials such that is an -Diophantine set. In addition, we show that the degree of can be as small as .
