The convolution induced topology on dual of hypergroup algebras
From MaRDI portal
Publication:1758804
Let \(K\) be a hypergroup with Haar measure, and consider the locally convex topology on \(L^\infty(K)\) generated by the seminorms \(\|f\phi\|_\infty\) with \(\phi\in L^1(K)\) . The author investigates this topology. He in particular proves for compact \(K\) that this topology agrees with the weak-\(*\)-topology on the unit ball of \(L^\infty(K)\). Moreover, some special multiplier results are shown.
