Discrete operators in spaces of fractional quotients of periodic functions
The notion of spaces of fractional quotients was introduced and studied in the authors' previous paper [Differ. Equ. 39, No. 5, 726--749 (2003); translation from Differ. Uravn. 39, No. 5, 687--709 (2003; Zbl 1079.47036)]. In the present paper, the authors analyze discrete operators in the spaces of fractional quotients of periodic functions. They consider the properties of discrete operators approximating (in the spaces of fractional quotients) operators defined in Sobolev--Slobodetskii spaces of periodic functions, study the convergence of approximate solutions to exact ones in spaces of fractional quotients, and prove existence and uniqueness theorems for operator equations on the basis of the scheme of the approximate solution. They obtain necessary and sufficient stability conditions for a discrete operator in the space of fractional quotients under perturbations. Necessary and sufficient conditions for the approximation of convolution operators by discrete operators are also obtained. The regularization of approximate solutions is analyzed for Fredholm operators.
