A vector -problem and self-similar solutions of the Kadomtsev-Petviashvili equation
A vector \(\bar\partial\)-problem and self-similar solutions of the Kadomtsev-Petviashvili equation
(overlinepartial)-Neumann problems and formal complexes in context of PDEs (35N15) KdV equations (Korteweg-de Vries equations) (35Q53) Completely integrable finite-dimensional Hamiltonian systems, integration methods, integrability tests (37J35) Completely integrable infinite-dimensional Hamiltonian and Lagrangian systems, integration methods, integrability tests, integrable hierarchies (KdV, KP, Toda, etc.) (37K10) Correspondences and other transformation methods (e.g., Lie-Bäcklund) for PDEs on manifolds (58J72)
Using the vector \(\overline\partial\)-analogue of the Riemann-Hilbert problem, the author finds self-similar solutions of two types of Kadomtsev-Petviashvili equations: \[ (\partial/\partial x)(4u_ t+6uu_ x-u_{xxx})+3u_{yy}=0,\quad(\partial/\partial x)(4u_ t+6uu_ x- u_{xxx})-3u_{yy}=0. \] The classes of real-valued solutions are also singled out.
