K-Bessel functions in two variables
Generalized hypergeometric series, ({}_pF_q) (33C20) Orthogonal polynomials and functions in several variables expressible in terms of special functions in one variable (33C50) Other hypergeometric functions and integrals in several variables (33C70) Connections of hypergeometric functions with groups and algebras, and related topics (33C80)
Summary: The Bessel-Muirhead hypergeometric system (or \(_{0}F_1\)-system) in two variables (and three variables) is solved using symmetric series, with an explicit formula for coefficients, in order to express the \(K\)-Bessel function as a linear combination of the J-solutions. Limits of this method and suggestions for generalizations to a higher rank are discussed.
