Abstract: The object of the present paper is to study the absolute -summability of th derived conjugate series generalizing a known result.
Recently, the author [Proc. Indian Acad. Sci., Math. Sci. 108, No.~3, 251--271 (1998; Zbl 0937.42003)] has studied absolute \(N_{q_\alpha}\)-summability of Fourier series. In the present paper he studies absolute \(N_{q_\alpha}\)-summability of the \(r\)th \((r<\alpha)\) derived series of a conjugate series. His results generalize certain results of \textit{J. M. Hyslop} [Proc. Lond. Math. Soc., II. Ser. 46, 55--80 (1939; Zbl 0022.32902)].
