Effect of far-field boundary conditions on boundary-layer transition

The authors consider the effect of far-field boundary conditions on the evolution of a finite-amplitude two-dimensional wave in the Blasius boundary layer. They use either asymptotic mixed homogeneous Dirichlet conditions or homogeneous von Neumann conditions, and impose these conditions at various distances from the wall. The parabolized stability equations are employed to take advantage of the low computational cost.
