Nach Thurston besitzt der Außenraum des Viererknotens einen 2- dimensionalen Kollabierretrakt mit nichtpositiver Krümmung. In der vorliegenden Arbeit werden solche 2-Komplexe allgemein für virtuell nichttriviale Erweiterungen der freien Gruppe \(F_2\) durch \(\mathbb{Z}\) konstruiert. Insbesondere ergibt es sich so, daß diese Erweiterungen eine automatische Struktur besitzen.
