Integrals involving the functions \(\log (2 \text{sinh} (\theta/2))\) and \(\log (2 \sin (\theta/2))\) are studied, particularly their relationship to the values of the Riemann zeta function at integral arguments. For example general formulae are proved which contain the known results \[ \begin{aligned} \int_0^{{\pi \over 3}} \log^2 \bigl( 2 \sin (\theta/2) \bigr) d \theta & = 7 \pi^3/108,\\ \int_0^{{\pi \over 3}} \theta \log^2 \bigl( 2 \sin (\theta/2) \bigr) d \theta & = 17 \pi^4/6480,\\ \int_0^{{\pi \over 3}} \Bigl( \log^4 \bigl( 2 \sin (\theta/2) \bigr) & - {3 \over 2} \theta^2 \log^2 \bigl( 2 \sin (\theta/2) \bigr) \Bigl) d \theta = 253 \pi^5/3240,\\ \int_0^{{\pi \over 3}} \Bigl( \theta \log^4 \bigl( 2 \sin (\theta/2) \bigr) & - {\theta^3 \over 2} \log \bigl( 2 \sin (\theta/2) \bigr) \Bigr) d \theta = 313 \pi^6/408240, \end{aligned} \] as special cases.
