Quadrics of codimension 4 in C^7 and their automorphisms

From MaRDI portal

The paper investigates CR-quadrics \(Q\) of codimension 3 and CR-dimension 4 in \({\mathbb C}^7\). Such a quadric \(Q\) can be written as \(\{(w,z)\in{\mathbb C}^4\times{\mathbb C}^3: \Re(w)=H(z,\bar z)\}\) where \(H\) is a hermitian quadric form with values in \({\mathbb R}^4\). The author classifies all such quadrics which admit non-linear automorphisms. The classification is up to biholomorphic equivalence, which for non-degenerate quadrics is the same as linear equivalence. Quadrics of smaller codimension have been classified in previous works of \textit{S. N. Shevchenko} [Russ. Acad. Sci., Izv., Math. 45, No. 1, 151-174 (1995); translation from Izv. Ross. Akad. Nauk, Ser. Mat. 58, No. 4, 149-172 (1994; 843.32004), and Math. Notes 55, No. 5, 534-542 (1994); translation from Mat. Zametki 55, No. 5, 142-153 (1994; Zbl 0842.32013)], and \textit{N. F. Palinchak} [Izv. Math. 59, No. 3, 597-617 (1995); translation from Izv. Ross. Akad. Nauk, Ser. Mat. 59, No. 3, 159-178 (1995; Zbl 0902.32002)].
