Abstract: The current paper considers the boundedness of solutions to the following quasilinear Keller-Segel model (with logistic source) left{egin{array}{ll} u_t =

ablacdot(D(u) abla u)-chi ablacdot(u abla v)+mu (u-u^2),quad xin Omega, t>0,\ v_t-Delta v = u-v,quad xin Omega, t>0,\ (D(u) abla u-chi ucdot abla v)cdot u = frac{partial v}{partial

u}=0,quad xin partialOmega, t>0,\ u(x,0) = u_0(x),quad v(x,0) = v_0(x), xin Omega, end{array} ight. where OmegasubsetmathbbRN(Ngeq1) is a bounded domain with smooth boundary partialOmega, chi>0 and mugeq0. We prove that for nonnegative and suitably smooth initial data (u0,v0), if D(u)geqCD(u+1)m1 for all ugeq0 with some CD>0 and some m>2frac2Nfracchimax1,lambda0[chimax1,lambda0mu]+ or m=2frac2N and CD>fracCGN(1+|u0|L1(Omega))3(2frac2N)2max1,lambda0chi, the (KS) possesses a global classical solution which is bounded in Omegaimes(0,infty), where CGN and lambda0 are the constants which are corresponding to the Gagliardo--Nirenberg inequality and the maximal Sobolev regularity. To our best knowledge, this seems to be the first rigorous mathematical result which (precisely) gives the relationship between m and fracmuchi that yields to the boundedness of the solutions.
