Leonid Kantorovich and approximation theory
From MaRDI portal
Publication:2071595
The many contributions of Leonid Kantorovich (1912--1986) have had a great impact on the development of approximation theory and functional analysis worldwide. The present work gives a survey on some of his seminal results in approximation theory some of which rest on results achieved by Chebyshev in the 19th century.
