Abstract: Let be a finite purely inseparable field extension and let be a reductive -group. We denote by the Weil restriction of across , a pseudo-reductive group. This article gives bounds for the exponent of the geometric unipotent radical in terms of invariants of the extension , starting with the case and applying these results to the case where is a simple group.
