Traveling waves for a generalized Beddington-DeAngelis predator-prey model
The traveling waves of a generalized Beddington-DeAngelis predator-prey model were investigated, which covers the general case of Holling-Tanner model. And some simulation figures were introduced to support the analysis. The main highlights are stated below: (i) A new form of shrinking rectangle were proposed, which improves the range of the parameters to \(\infty\), to discuss the asymptotic behavior; (ii) A pair of new upper and lower solutions were constructed to deal with the singularity of the predator equation, which simplify the verification on the existence of traveling waves.
