On a class of polyhedra with symmetrical vertex stars
From MaRDI portal
Publication:2155160
Symmetry properties of polyhedra in \(\mathbb R^{3}\) are considered. The star \(\operatorname{Star}(F)\) of a face \(F\) of a polyhedron \(P\) is the set of all faces having at least one vertex in common with \(F\). The star \(\operatorname{Star}(v)\) of a vertex \(v\) of a polyhedron \(P\) is the set of faces of \(P\) containing \(v\). The symmetry of \(\operatorname{Star}(v)\) is its rotational symmetry with respect to the axis passing through \(v\). With these notions the author introduces RDS-polyhedra and classifies them.
