On FI-t-lifting modules
The authors generalize several known properties of modules over a unital ring. For modules \(M\) and \(N,\ N\ll M\) means \(N\) is small in \(M\); \(E(M)\) is the injective hull of \(M\); \(\overline Z(M)=\cap\{U\leq M\colon M/U\ll E(M/U)\};\ \overline Z^2(M)=\overline Z(\overline Z(M))\); \(N\ll_t M\) if for every submodule \(B\) of \(M,\ \overline Z^2(M)\leq A+B\) implies \(Z^2(M)\leq B\). Finally, \(M\) is \(FI\)-\(t\)-lifting if for every fully invariant submodule \(A\), \(M\) has a direct summand \(N\) contained in \(A\) such that \(A/N\ll_t M/N\). They prove numerous properties of \(FI\)-\(t\)-lifting, for example if \(M\) is \(FI\)-\(t\)-lifting then \(\overline Z^2(M)\) is a summand of \(M\) and \(FI\)-\(t\)-lifting is not preserved by direct sums.
