On the stability of the nonlinear center under quasi-periodic perturbations
From MaRDI portal
Publication:2227883
The authors consider the system \[ \dot x=y,\quad \dot y=-x^{2n-1}+Q(x,y,t)\eqno(1) \] where the expansion of \(Q\) over the powers of \(x\) and \(y\) does not contain terms with an order that is lower than \(2n\). After introducing ``polar coordinates \(r,\varphi\), the authors obtain conditions for asymptotic stability and instability of the zero solution of system (1).
