Abstract: We apply the orbit method to obtain formula for multiplicities of certain representations of unipotent groups over the finite field.

The paper under review provides a formula for multiplicities of simple representations in certain induced representations of unipotent groups over finite fields in terms of certain combinatorial invariants of coadjoint orbits.
