Structure of the algebra of bounded smooth functions with compact support on the groupoid of a manifold with a foliation generated by commutative group action
The author considers foliations whose leaves are orbits of a locally free action of a commutative Lie group \(H\), and which admit an \(H\)-invariant Ehresmann connection. It is proved that, under these assumptions, the foliated manifold has a structure almost coinciding with the structure of Cartesian product of some manifolds. The author also constructs an embedding of the algebra \(C^{\infty}_c(G)\) (with \(G\) being the groupoid of homotopy classes of paths in a leaf with fixed endpoint) into the product of the algebras of continuous functions on a transversal, on a leaf of foliation, and on the universal covering of \(H\).
